Becoming a mother at 35 opened up a new chapter in my life. One day, while taking my daughter to school, I stopped at a shop and purchased ink pens and paper. That was several years ago, marking the beginning of my journey into drawing.
Growing up in Bulgaria in a family of musicians and artists, I was set out to be a concert cellist. At 18, I came to the UK on a full scholarship to study music.
Now, I have a small space at home where I create. My daily process begins with quietly listening to my inner state—whether calm, elated, carefree, or anxious. The first stroke always feels quite ecstatic as I never know what will come next.
Visually, I am inspired by the patterns and textures found in nature, the intricacies of architectural and interior design, as well as sound.
